Sales pitch – Steve Jobs are selling

Now, we are flooded with Steve Jobs’ trademark pitch to the customers. Unfortunately, the copycats are frustrating to the core and chasing the customer to death. Today every product’s sales pitch starts with “you have so many problems and I have solution types”. Please don’t forget every other sales guy is attempting to do the same. Your product success is in the mercy of customer’s attention. Jobs could do that because that’s the first time someone approached differently. Now enough of that heard.

I humbly believe, we need to change this status quo now. In the age of information overloaded, better to be bulls eye. Make it simple and let your expertise and references speak. I know, some of you may think to get that reference, you need a pitch 😊 If you are confident put your life on the line, invest on, build it and get into a freemium model. Customers are generous to adapt if you can really solve their problem.

No more stereo type selling please 😉 One of my sales buddy got greatly offended when I said sales is a facilitation process. Indeed, I still believe so. Do you think a customer may feel right if he ever feels you have ‘sold’ something to him? They remain trusted as a customer for ever if you would have approached them as an expert, provided solution to their pain points. While they hear so many options, why do they finally go to the brand that they trust? because they believe they can solve their problem. You show them the solution upfront, show the empirical evidences. Build a killer product and show them in action, the rest will fall in place.
