Brand copycats (a) evildoers?

I am sure most of you could have been betrayed at least once by the brand copycats. do you remember last time when you were in hurry, rushed to buy that soft drink/snack/fashion brand, etc., just grabbing things based on the color, style, design, etc., of that product without paying much attention before’ buying it? I felt cheated every time whenever I encountered the same. No doubt that’s the feeling these copycats would leave to everyone.

I understand businesses get inspired by looking at the competition. Innovation and market-shaking actions are a rarity. Often the competing businesses would improvise things step by step. In fact, I strongly believe everyone copies (get inspired if you want to call that way 😊) from everything and the ‘ability of execution’ differentiates. That should be okay. Isn’t it?

I wonder how the copycats would operate? What would their leadership team strategize? What could be their vision for the business and product? Will they get into the room and discuss how to copy? How to steal someone else’s effort? Won’t they feel shameful?

Competing is fine but copying is SIN?
