DevOps is no more an option; it’s a moral obligation to implement by IT. Delivering a new feature at months or even weeks intervals should be considered a sin; at least should be from a technological perspective. Releasing a new feature should be a business call rather than a feasibility of IT.

If not daily, the prod deployment couple of times a week should be an option. This could be the only best possible way to support the business through IT. Everything else may be an excuse and time to fix the IT team, not the product.
