Let the AI be BIASED

This might sound odd, but actually, that’s what we needed. After all, humankind is biased, isn’t it? We all take stands and be on a side. Machines are expected to be like that too. Now, the challenge is that the machine may be expected to represent both sides—that’s the curse for the machine.

Unfortunately, humankind is going to treat AI at the jury level and expect favorable answers to the side the individual is taking. It’s going to take some time for the general public to understand that AI can only be biased for the greater good.

If AI is going to be biased, then what could be the stand of AI? That’s what is going to be the influencing factor of AI’s predictions. Now, the bias getting configured could be in the name of regulation, policies, social causes, etc.

Indeed, these biases are going to keep the world sane. The good thing about having the power of capturing data and being able to process it with AI is that it can provide deeper insights and much quicker than conventional models. We may not need to rely on conventional survey outcomes that happen with a very small percentage of the sample but that impact much larger outcomes.

So, regulatory bodies can be watchful of the developing patterns and employ much better control. Thus, we may need to regulate AI first, and that helps us to regulate later 😀
